Pupils and Learning - UKS2
Meet the team...
The eldest children in our school (years 5 and 6) are in three classes; Apple, Pine and Sycamore. We set high expectations of each and every child and we expect all children to be the best that they can be - both academically and socially.
The children are encouraged to be independent and self-motivated learners, who take a greater level of personal responsibility for their own education.
A key focus within our phase group is to allow children to ask questions and to solve problems creatively. Within our learning we nurture originality of thought and celebrate all of our individual differences. The lessons and activities we carry out promote team work and our children are smart, punctual, well-mannered, organised and hard-working.
We are extremely proud of the children in Upper Key Stage Two and they always act as fantastic ambassadors for our classes, phase groups and school. This is particularly the case when we are out and about on any of the varied visits we go on to enhance our curriculum, for instance to the Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Opera House, the Science Museum to name but a few.
